Hi! I am a ML/NLP engineer with a broad interest in LLMs, Natural Language Generation Evaluation, Interpretability and Uncertainty Estimation. I recently completed my PhD at SARDINE lab at Instituto Superior Técnico, supervised by André F. T. Martins and Chrysoula Zerva. Based in Lisbon, Portugal.

My doctoral research focused on enhancing the robustness of NLG evaluation models and developing methods that can quantify and communicate the uncertainty associated with their outputs. More specifically, I worked on uncertainty-aware MT evaluation during my PhD, aiming to create more trustworthy systems that are robust to the variation observed across different languages and domains. This experience, combined with ongoing advancements in AI, fuels my curiosity about understanding language models, working with them, and ensuring their fairness and safety in practical applications.

Before joining IST, I received a MSc and BSc in Computer Science at CS HSE in Moscow, Russia.

When not at my computer, I enjoy experimenting with film photography, hiking, and painting with watercolor!
